* I love to spend time with my family- whether it's at home, in a different country, on an adventure, or in the car, we always have things to talk about. My brothers and sisters-in-law live in Colorado and Tennesse now, so though I don't get to see them as often now, I cherish the time we get. I can't thank God enough for them all.

* I love to bake- since our family went on a gluten-free diet (and me on a lactose, coconut-free diet), I have found a new love for baking. It presents a challenge for me, and you never know how it will turn out. I do it to experiment, make other people happy, relax, not to mention to eat yummy food! Even though I'm not at my home now, any chance I get to bake is a special time.

* I love to travel- I grew up in Czech traveling to see family in Slovenia, visiting grandparents in the States, getting passports renewed in Poland... it keeps life interesting and new! I find parts of who I am in each new place I go to, and it has shaped who I am today. Some of my favorite places are Hvar, Croatia; Portland, Oregon; Prague, Czech republic; Vienna, Austria; and Telluride, Colorado.

* I love the Bible- it's a way to see God's own heart...as he has revealed himself to us! Wow. It gives me faith, hope and it tells me of God's unending love for me. There's nothing more comforting than the words of my Father. I'm graduated from Moody Bible Institute now and learned there how much I still don't know about the Bible. There are always things to uncover and Truth to be known and applied to life, which is beautiful!

* I love art- I delight in drawing, painting, cutting, gluing, decorating cookies...you name it! I don't have any training whatsoever; it's just what I do to relax! I especially love drawing with illustration markers (such as Copic markers and Micron pens) and experimenting with watercolors.

  1. Hi Claire! I found your blog through your comment on Natalie Lloyd's blog! That's so cool that you're an MK. I'm an MK in Italy :) I made an online magazine for MKs/TCKs a year ago and thought you might want to look at it: http://notworld.wordpress.com/ Happy Thursday! :)

  3. What a beautiful list of favorites! I found you through the Build a Better Breakfast challenge -- and I'm glad that I did. I have a nut allergy, and have folks in our families with celiac, so I understand about cooking for those folks with allergies. Thanks for sharing your journey and heart here!!

    1. Hey, thanks dear! Though I would prefer to say we share the same family, if we both have put our trust in Jesus Christ and can now be called children of God. ;)
