It is completely surreal to stand on top of the Rockefeller Center and overlook NYC. It's hard to even really soak in. Haley and I stepped out onto the observation terrace and then just stood there, taking it all in. There really isn't anything else you can do but stand and observe.
We walked around the whole terrace, noticing the different buildings and iconic NYC sights, and then that was it. We could have stayed up there for much longer taking it all in. It was lovely, and so refreshing to get out above the city bustle to gain perspective on this giant of a city.
What were we doing in NYC, you might wonder? This was a very sweet graduation gift from some friends, and I got to share the trip with my dear sister-in-law, Haley. The trip came at perfect timing, since I now have a month left at Moody. I missed the monumental Cubs celebrations in Chicago, but I traded it for NYC streets, eats, and treats. I'll never forget this time Haley and I spent together.
