Gull Lake 2015: Week 3

Week 3 was filled with changing weather and wonderful families, lots of fun and so many stories. I held babies all week (in the "Giraffes" room), so I got my "aunt" training! It definitely made me excited for my nephew to arrive in November. Ah, a little Patty! Tyler and Lara are expecting a little one, and every time I'm with Cove Kids, I think of them. It's the best.

Camp is eventful and fast-paced and I'm thankful I've gotten to work here these past three weeks. I only have one more week to go! I can't even fully understand how to feel about that, yet I know it's bittersweet. I have loved working with families here, and don't want to leave; but at the same time, of course I am extremely looking forward to being home in Czech in just over a week.

I know that there is a time for each season, and that each of the places I hold in my heart make life richer. It's hard to leave anywhere that I grow to love, but what a gift that there are so many people to love in those places too.

Here's a glimpse into the Stars and Stripes Carnival...

I still have one more week though! One more week to talk with families around dinner tables, one more week to jump up and down cheering as loudly as we can, and one more week of theme nights, carnivals, long days and seeing the Lord work here at Gull Lake Ministries.
