What it Means

I am so thankful that the symbol of a cross is no longer only representative of death and suffering. It represents life. Jesus, the one who lived and walked on this earth, died on the cross. But he rose again! He is living, our Savior and Lord.

Jesus conquered death and this cross is now a symbol to us that he now lives, rules and reigns. He overcame this cross and those who confess their sins and put their faith in him are able to live because of him. My heart cannot even express in words what good news this is, and how undeserving, yet grateful I am.

Lord, I praise you for your victory over death and for your mercy on us. I'm grateful for the reminded of Easter each year, and long to be reminded of this miracle of grace daily.
