Last time

Yesterday was the last day I pulled out 4 plates for dinner. It was the last day I heard John Mayer playing through the house. The last day that Caleb came to pick me up from tutoring.

No, it's not the last day these things will ever happen. But it's the last day it will be a normal part of life. That's a hard thing to take in.

Caleb left home at 4AM this morning to fly to States to work for the summer at Gull Lake Ministries, and then attend Moody in the fall. I said goodbye to him only for a few days though, because we will see each other at Tyler's wedding in a week. But still, it's not the same as having him at home.

Caleb- I really miss you...already! You are an amazing leader, you bring so much joy to our lives, and I love your adventurous spirit. Thank you for being such a loving and caring brother. I'm soooo happy I get to see you in a week, and then in October in the States. This house is just not the same without brothers.
Yep, that's Dead Sea Mud...just in case you were wondering.

  1. Claire it will be a bit lonely to be the last one at home! Love the picture of you three...it's so great that you are all good friends!

Best wishes on your SAT's on Saturday! Of course you will follow in my footsteps and ACE the SAT's, so not to worry!

So looking forward to seeing you in Chattanooga next week and picking strawberries in Eugene in two weeks.

  2. Siblings are great, aren't they? :) Although because I'm the oldest child, I won't ever experience being the last child at home, I am going away to college as well. I'm really gonna miss them! Thank the Lord for Skype, right?!

  3. This has to be one of your best pots Claire! You already know...it made me cry...and that's a good sign! :) Seriously, I am SO thankful you have such good relationships with your brothers, and that you miss them. Wouldn't want it any other way...except that it isn't fun being the last one left at home. Sorry about that! I'll try to be a good companion this next year! :)
